In this document you can get answers to the most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about PAVE (PDF Accessibility Validation Engine), an award-winning web service designed to evaluate and improve the accessibility of PDF documents. Developed by the ICT-Accessibility Lab of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in collaboration with the Swiss Federation of the Blind and Visually Impaired, PAVE allows you to upload a PDF document in order to evaluate its accessibility, have it automatically fix accessibility issues that can be fixed with no user intervention, and get suggestions to perform manual testing and fix properly the remaining issues (i.e. PDF Document tagging).

This document is very exhaustive: it illustrates many different aspects about the tool itself, and provides some pointers on the (unfortunately complex) process of making a PDF document accessible; it clearly explains how PAVE can support you throughout the process.
