ATAG overview is a document that introduce the Authoring Tools Accessibility Guidelines (ATAG) 2.0 standard. It describes the “ratio” behind this specification, as well as providing all the context that is necessary to understand why things have been organized in “the way they are”.

ATAG overview can help you understand the ATAG specification, as it contains important information that is assumed to be known in more technical documents: who aATAG is for, what is intended under the term “authoring tools”, and a little history that lead to the current version of the specification. It also contains references to additional resources produced by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) about ATAG 2.0
